Ed Sheeran - All Of The Stars

Over the past few years books, especially teen books have been all the rave, so obviously John Green is like a Jesus among authors right now, writing some of the most idolised teen books of this generation including Paper Towns, Looking For Alaska, and the notoriously popular The Fault In Our Stars. Now taking a back seat, heading for the big screen John has created a whole new level of story telling, bringing the intense, emotionally touching, and beautifully tragic story to cinimas, and what better way to kick it all of with a defining song, written and performed by one of the most loved singer/song-writers of the past few years. Yes, that's right. Ed Sheeran jumped on the wagon like I'd jump on Ryan Gosling and wrote a song for the movie. The song is call 'All Of The Stars' great tittle, very fitting for the movie; But what do we think?
I've always admired Ed's lyrics, as I find them truly honest, not too complex, and insanely lovely to even listen to, and he did not let down. Annotating lyrics, as one does; I love how relatable this song is to everyone, you don't have to be some Shakespearean enthusiastic to really grasp the concept of the song, and he hasn't dumbed down the words to try and gather an audience he didn't already have. Obviously, like most songs the lyrics need to be put into perspective an make sense, with a little bit of fancy love-doveyness here and there, he's literally made an incredible heart felt lullaby. It's very calm, very Ed Sheeran, and I like that! I like how he hasn't changed his style, he's matured yes, but hasn;t changed for the sake of some Hollywood movie; witch is admirable! The video too demonstrates a very artistic, vell though out vision, not just 'cute shots of the singer wearing nothing' with little bit of the film thrown in there for good measure. It really seems to have been thought out very carefully, but still making it so effortless.
Now if this doesn't make you excited to see the movie as the book did, I really don't know what else will float your boat; This for me is one of the best movie songs I've heart in a pretty long time, minus of Taylor Swift FT The Civils Wars, Nothing can ever fault that; But it goes without saying Ed Sheeran - All Of The Stars ins a job bloody well done!

How to deal with exam stress.

Speaking from experience, exams aren't the bee's knee's of the insect anatomy, but alas they've got to be done, and there's no way of getting out of them! trust me, I tried! But I've put together a few little tips that will hopefully full, or drag you through exam season!
Okay so first thing first; Be positive! All though exams feel like the black hole of your life, they're really not that bad! They're just a few pieces of paper testing your memory from the past 12 years at school, they're not there to define you, or make you look stupid, they're there to further you in what ever you want to do, and help employees/colleges know where you're at on an academic level. Even though they do feel like the biggest thing ever, look at all the positive outcomes from them; Could further you into a better job, see where you are academically,  put and end to all things school, and of course there's prom after. So that small time period of your life really wont last forever. In fact before you know it, you'll be getting your school shirt signed, and reminiscing about how they really wen't that bad!
Secondly, be responsible. These are your exams, your exam results and your effort being put in, no one else's. So if your bestie wants to hang out every night after school, and you know you need to revise, do what you think will benefit you the most, because on results day you may kind of wish that you had have spent that Friday night revising for maths rather than getting super drunk in a basketball court - we've all been there before.
I can't tell you enough how important revision is. Set aside some time, even make a timetable - 1 hour a day to revise, after all it's only one hour a day out of a small period of your life, you'll be so thankful for it on results day. If like me you find it hard to sit down and concentrate - In fact, I've had this page open for four days, and I'm finally getting around to writing the post, close all your tabs, and disconnect yourself from social network. I sometimes put my mobile on flight mode, just so I wont have any distractions what so ever. I also think putting yourself in a next to empty room with nothing that will tempt you to ditch your revision for will help. And if like me your house is pretty loud, sit your family down, and explain to them you're going to revise for a few hours for your exams, and ask politely if they could keep the noise down.
Lastly, your GSCE's really do not define you, like I've said. You can put them on your CV, in fact if you're looking for a job they rarely look at your GCSE results, they take your experience and skills more into consideration, plus you could always lie. No one actually check up on it. GCSE's are what colleges/university's use to determine if you have the right academics for the course you're applying for, if not they can put you on a lower level of that course to bring your functional skills up.
And just because you didn't do  as well as everyone else, it doesn't mean you're stupid, or you're less than anyone. Look at Sir Richard Branson, not one qualification to his name, yet he's done all right hasn't he..
Don't get stressed about a little time period of your life that wont last forever, they're really not that big of a deal, and they really do not define you; So stay positive and do the best you can. Everyone just wants you to do the best you can.
