I've always admired Ed's lyrics, as I find them truly honest, not too complex, and insanely lovely to even listen to, and he did not let down. Annotating lyrics, as one does; I love how relatable this song is to everyone, you don't have to be some Shakespearean enthusiastic to really grasp the concept of the song, and he hasn't dumbed down the words to try and gather an audience he didn't already have. Obviously, like most songs the lyrics need to be put into perspective an make sense, with a little bit of fancy love-doveyness here and there, he's literally made an incredible heart felt lullaby. It's very calm, very Ed Sheeran, and I like that! I like how he hasn't changed his style, he's matured yes, but hasn;t changed for the sake of some Hollywood movie; witch is admirable! The video too demonstrates a very artistic, vell though out vision, not just 'cute shots of the singer wearing nothing' with little bit of the film thrown in there for good measure. It really seems to have been thought out very carefully, but still making it so effortless.
Now if this doesn't make you excited to see the movie as the book did, I really don't know what else will float your boat; This for me is one of the best movie songs I've heart in a pretty long time, minus of Taylor Swift FT The Civils Wars, Nothing can ever fault that; But it goes without saying Ed Sheeran - All Of The Stars ins a job bloody well done!
